Workshops In the spring of 2005 when new facilitation standards were introduced by ACCT, we began a new training program for challenge course facilitators. In addition to the low and high ropes training that we already offer, we began adding a day of certification testing and evaluation. The course includes approximately 20 hrs of low course training then another 24 hrs of high course training followed by a day certification process for anyone that is interested. The certification will be competency based and will include written test and skills assessment on a variety course elements, groups, and conditions. We work to help you develop the skills necessary to minimize risk which are always present, and the interpersonal skills to make your program meaningful. |

Have rope will travel!!! If you have a # of people to train or you just want to do the training on your own course, we will come to you and provide whatever level of training and certification you seek. |

The date for SPRING 2008 workshop is scheduled for MAY 12-16,2008 If you want only low ropes training you may attend the first two days. If you want high ropes you will need to attend all 5 days. You may not attend the high ropes training unless you have already taken low ropes facilitation training. If you have questions or would like to register, call Larry Hanson at (205) 223 4933. Fees for the workshop is $125.00 per day includes all training materials, and camp bunk style lodging. The site of our training is Camp Coleman, the Girl Scout Camp that is just north of Birmingham. You will need to bring your own toiletries, and sleeping bag. Workshops
use an experiential format, working in small groups to master
necessary learning and practical skills. For those seeking advanced skills and
feedback we offer testing and skills review to help you better understand what you know
and what you need to learn before you take on the responsibility of a
group.
